CFA Group Desk Instructions

1.0 Shoretel13
in a web browser such as IE9 address bar:
http://shoretel13/ShorewareDirector
If you use IE10 or IE11 then turn on "compatibility view" see the tools menu.
locate the person who has left the company, then change his user details to match the new person's user details. dial into his voicemail and clear out all voicemails, and re-record his greetings.

2.0 File Server User Accounts:
from your desktop PC, press start menu button, then enter mstsc.exe in the "search all " box or the Run... box, to locate the "Remote Desktop Connection" app. In the box marked "Computer" enter: dc1.nds.local
Press "Connect"

Enter your credentials:   NDS\xAdmin

Once in, find the "Active Directory Users and Computers" applet,
drill down the tree until you find the "People" branch.
Select a template person called "TEMP USER", and right click, then select copy

Customize the new user account by setting the name, & password.

3.0 Network Config

Notes About The VPN:
Use "My GRC VPN" always.
Look in the network icon, in the lower right side of your screen, click the wireless icon to find the VPN Icon. The username for the VPN is always DOMAIN/Username for example "GRCPRC.NET\JJackson" if you were JJackson.

Using Outlook - Off the VPN
When you start outlook off the VPN, you may have to enter a username and password once. Always enter the domain \ username. For example:

Suppose your name is Joe Jackson, your logon name will be JJackson your domain is always GRCPRC.net
login as
GRCPRC.NET\JJackson and enter your given computer logon password. you new one. And check the box so you have to do it again.

When switching between wireless and wired states, always exit from Outlook, or it will get confused and log you off.
